Cape Breton Fiddlers’ Association
Group Number in Tribute to Members
Who Have Passed On This Year

At every St. Ann’s Sunday concert, one of the group numbers is offered in tribute to those members of the Cape Breton Fiddlers’s Association who have passed on since the last concert. I was unable to capture the several names announced, but Michael Anthony MacLean’s passing shortly before the concert was on the minds of many. Stan Chapman began the musical part of the tribute with a beautifully played slow air on fiddle to Janet Cameron’s keyboard accompaniment, after which the entire Association joined in a set of tunes.
