Cape Breton Fiddlers’ Association Tribute to Deceased Members

Each year during the Gala Concert, the Cape Breton Fiddlers’ Association gathers to hear the reading of the list of those association members who have passed away during the previous year, to pause for a moment of silence in their honour, and then to listen to one of its fiddlers play a lament in their memory. This year, Kyle MacNeil (of the Barra MacNeils) played a beautiful tribute, accompanied by his brother, Sheumas, on keyboards, as the association’s other members and the directors stood in silent recollection.
