Loch Ban from the North Highlands Road

Photo 6 of 20: Loch Ban from the North Highlands Road
Taken 2007 July 30 from the North Highlands Road
about three minutes after its gravel surface turns into a sandy/grassy lane

This backwards-facing view shows Loch Ban, the northwestern extension of Lake Ainslie, with the mountains which rise above its shore on the east lying under a threatening cloud which had already dumped some rain earlier in the afternoon. The character of North Highlands Road on the top of the plateau can also be seen, though its surface will soon become gravel further down the hillside.
