Cape Breton Fiddlers’ Association
Tribute to Deceased Members
Each year during the Gala Concert, the Cape Breton Fiddlers’ Association gathers to hear the reading of the list of those association members who have passed away during the previous year, to pause for a moment of silence in their honour, and then to listen to one of its fiddlers play an air in their memory. This year, Father Francis Cameron led the prayer, after which Stan Chapman played a beautiful tribute, as the association’s other members and the directors (Father Eugene Morris, Burton MacIntyre, and Blair Mombourquette were unable to attend) stood in silent recollection.
