Kirill Raskolenko is a classically trained violinist who hails from Russia and goes by the English moniker Keyreel the Fiddler (Keyreel is the Russian pronunciation of his first name). He learned to play the Cape Breton style of fiddling by watching YouTube videos. Note closely his five-stringed fiddle, which he used to great effect in the slow air he played for the Sunday concert. His fine playing throughout the festival was a tremendous hit with everyone. You can find more information about his music at his web site.
