A stream, unnamed on the topographical map, from the east crosses beneath the road here through a sluice, joining a brook on the west side of the road, also unnamed, that flows into the Northeast Mabou River. That brook follows the road for most of the way into Northeast Mabou, at some distance to its side so that one does not hear it continuously, to leave the road definitively near its end.

This gravel pit, now apparently unused, sits at the side of MacDonalds Glen Road near the sluice seen previously.

This view just below the sluice seen previously shows a thunderhead that was the first I had seen so far. It turned out to be perfectly benign, but I was glad I had come prepared for rain!
