Views from the Fourth Look-Off

This wide-angle view looks to the south from the look-off. At this point in the trail, one has regained enough height to look across the top of the flat ridge (to the left of the curve in the Cabot Trail) which holds the Cape Smokey Provincial Park and its parking lot (not visible here).

This view somewhat to the south of southwest at full zoom shows the summit of the ridge up which the Cabot Trail climbs (the summit of Smokey Mountain is to the right, outside the scope of this photo). (This photo was taken on the return hike, as so the light was somewhat different than that of the adjacent photos.)
