Eileen Ivers, James Keane,
and Mick Maloney

Three stars of the American Irish music firmament, nine-time All Ireland Fiddle Champion, Bronx-born fiddler Eileen Ivers joined Irish immigrants James Keane on button accordion and Dr. Mick Maloney, Professor at Villanova, on banjo and guitar to give us some rollicking Irish tunes. The first set consisted of the jigs Shaskeen, Gallagher’s Frolic, and The Lilting Fisherman. The second number was Mick Maloney’s singing of Don’t Cry in Your Sleep, Bonnie Baby, accompanied by Eileen Ivers on fiddle, James Keane on button accordion, and himself on guitar. The third set started with a slow air by Eileen Ivers on solo fiddle and added the others on button accordion and banjo and guitar, with James Keane playing a tune on solo accordion in the middle of the set.
