Sunday Concert Pictures
The Sunday concert, emceed by Wendy Bergfeldt and Bob MacEachern, began at 14h and lasted until 19h; it took place in the outdoor amphitheatre at the Gaelic College under a bright and warm sun, which had been missing in action for most of the previous three weeks. I arrived early and got a very good seat in the front row. There were the inevitable problems with microphones, wires, monitors, and music stands getting between my camera and the performers, which occur no matter where one is seated; since the sun was directly in the performers’ eyes, you will see that many of them defended themselves with sunglasses. So, again, take these photos for what they are: my best attempt to capture what was going on at a live event, not professional photographs.
The Performance Listing below reflects the names I heard and wrote down at the concert, but given my lack of acute hearing, what I present here may well not be what was said. Moreover, I did not get all of the names and I apologize in advance to those whose names I have shown as question marks, mis-heard, or misspelt.
