The following members of the Cape Breton Fiddlers’ Association passed away during the year past:
   John Campbell
   Didace LeBlanc
   Dougie MacDonald
   John Henry Stone

Father Eugene Morris began the tribute with a prayer for the deceased members and followed it with a moment of silence. Stan Chapman, accompanied by Lawrence Cameron on keyboards, then played a beautiful lament, after which the Cape Breton Fiddlers on stage played their second group number of the afternoon.
