The Glengarry Fiddlers
accompanied by Kolten Macdonell on keyboard

I am told that a delegation of Glengarry fiddlers has performed in every Cape Breton Fiddlers’ Association concert since the formation of the Association in 1973. That is an amazing record! The fiddle concerts at the Maxville Highland Games each year present well over fifty fiddlers between the ages of five and twenty, attesting to how vibrant and alive Scottish traditional music remains in Glengarry (the part of eastern Ontario along the St Lawrence River north and east of Cornwall), and as many adults participate in the massed fiddle numbers presented on the main stage, producing a truly impressive sound.
