This photo was taken from the aforementioned gravel arc at Sams Point looking east towards Mabou Village, where St Marys steeple can again be seen rising left of centre (a silo rises closer to the centre—St Marys is to the left of it). The point in the centre of the photo is Indian Point, upstream of which the Southwest Mabou and Northeast Mabou Rivers join the Mabou River.
On this lovely fall day, the hills in the distance are clad in fall colours, a sharp contrast to their usual summer greens. The warm sun was smiling and so was my spirit, even though the time for leaving this beautiful place was fast drawing nigh. I have so many fine memories of this wonderful river that come to mind when I look at the pictures I took!
