The mountain at the left of this view was at the right of the previous one. Here, the valley that MacDonalds Glen Road traverses as it heads towards Northeast Mabou can be seen below the mountain in the centre of this photo. I have described this beautiful hike, not part of the Cape Mabou Trail Club system, here, where you will also find a number of additional photos taken from MacDonalds Glen Road.
You will observe that the mountain at the right has a significant amount of non-forested land on its lower slopes; these fields are used for pastures, as there are still active farms here.
The white rocks just right of centre in this photo are gypsum; numerous gypsum deposits are visible at several points in MacDonalds Glen, at Finlay Point, and at and behind Coal Mine Point.
