I continued my explorations in the St Anns area, but the increasing cloud cover resulted in few photographs that I considered for this essay. I returned via the Yankee Line Road and then took the Cabot Trail through Middle River and the Lakes O’Law, where the sun was spectacular on the mountain sides, forcing me to stop there.
This view is from the Lake O’Law Picnic Park, looking at the Three Sisters, the mountains which rise above the First Lake O’Law. Although unfortunately the sun is not on them, notice the vibrancy of the colours, even in the shade, on the trees which line the shore. There are numerous bright red trees there, even though they do not stand out in the photo. There is even enough open sky to make the lake’s waters blue! What a gorgeous place in this beautiful afternoon sun!
