Beinn Bhiorach’s summit is at the left of this photo, behind which the col mentioned earlier is hidden by the summit’s right side. It also shows why going in from the Cape Mabou Trail Head involves so much less climbing than other routes, since that route takes one over the (unnamed) mountain whose crest is at the center of the photo.
The signposts mark the junction of the Cul Na Beinne (Beyond the Mountain) Trail with the Beinn Alasdair Bhain (Fair Alistair’s Mountain) Trail; the former is another name for MacKinnons Brook Lane itself. If one leaves the Lane at the signs, one will arrive at MacKinnons Brook Trail Head in about a minute; from there, it’s only about three minutes to the Meadows.
