The Acarsaid Trail ends at MacLeans Point, a couple of minutes walk from where the New Ferry Road (off the West Mabou Road in West Mabou) reaches the Mabou River shore. This point is significantly closer to Mabou village, where St Mary’s white steeple rises behind Indian Point in the centre of the photo beneath the mountainous ridge at the horizon. Another picnic table here invites one to sit and soak in the beautiful views of mountains and river and shore.
This also ends our photographic visit to the West Mabou Beach Provincial Park. I hope you have enjoyed it and, if you have not yet had the joy of sampling the park’s many and varied delights, that this photo essay will encourage you to do so.
