From Baxters Cove south to above Long Point, the point in the middle of the photo, the Railway Trail follows the St Georges Bay coastline very closely and the views are gorgeous. Green fields on the left and the blue of the reflected sky in St Georges Bay lead to a sparkling landscape on a sunny day. Here, above Long Point, a tennis court and what I take to be a club house have been constructed (on private land—these are not trail amenities). The flag indicates that a stiff breeze was blowing off the Bay, which was very welcome indeed on a warm day, made yet warmer by hiking!
