This view was taken from the same place as the previous one, but looks more to the northeast. If my hypothesis of a location near Leonards Pond be correct, then Leonards Pond is the lagoon enclosed by the sand bars at the right of the photo.
For now, this will have to complete my coverage the Bras d’Or Lakes scenic drive; once I have photos of the areas I haven’t included here, I will revisit this topic. In spite of the lacunæ, I hope that what you have seen here will encourage you to get out and view the beautiful coast line of Cape Breton’s great inland sea, whose views indeed rival those of the outer coasts!
