This view is from the other side of the bridge at Upper Southwest Mabou, looking downstream. The river’s course is again basically through forest. Immediately downstream of the bridge, the water is deeper and quieter than it is immediately upstream.
As was the case with the previous photo, other photos in my collection taken at other times show many more rocks in the river bed than are visible here, so there is more water in the river in this photo than I have observed at other times. While this photo makes it look as if it might be barely possible to navigate the river here by canoe, previous ones reveal that to be pretty unlikely without risking significant damage to the canoe.
