The Southwest Mabou River, at this point, runs behind the low ridge seen in the background of the downstream view from the Cèilidh Trail bridge. In this photo, the trees lining that ridge are visible all across the photo.
Here, the river has a darker hue, perhaps resulting from the green of the vegetation and the natural brown bottom combining to overcome the blue of the sky, which still wins out at a few points in the river’s course seen here.
