As I was returning to the car in the parking lot at West Mabou Beach Provincial Park from Johnny Bans Pond, I came across this tree resplendent in the sun which seemed to be in the process of changing colours before my very eyes. There are pure green leaves, leaves which are mainly green with hints of the reds to come, those which are entirely red, and several stages in between: Nature caught red-handed applying its paintbrush!
There were a lot of red-coloured trees in the park this day; I saw as many there as I saw in any one location elsewhere on the Island this fall. The many and varied beauties of this gorgeous spot, in every kind of weather and at every season, always amaze me!
