This view shows Lowland Point across from the northern shore of Lowland Cove. Whitecaps are now easily visible on the water here, as the stong winds continue to blow.
Another cove, called Sailor Cove, sits on the other side of Lowland Point. I have not learned of any trails that lead there nor do I know whether there is any low-lying land adjacent to it; from my reading of the maps I have, it seems likely that it is primarily lined by fairly high cliffs, although Sailor Brook does reach the Gulf at Sailor Cove, so there might be some land access from the water at that point. It would be marvellous to have the opportunity to see this fabulous coast up close from the water! Alas, I’m not a kayaker, nor, so far as I am aware, do whale watching tours pass by here.
