Like the folks on the beach below and those swimming in the surf, probably from the residences above the beach (out of view to the left in this photo), the gull soaring high over the waters of Broad Cove is enjoying a sparklingly beautiful high summer day along the Gulf Coast.

The shore line at Broad Cove is mainly of the gravel beach variety, with a couple of rocky cliffs sticking out into the water, but past the point just right of the middle of the photo, the white sands of Inverness Beach begin, bordering the shore for 4 km (2.5 mi). The mountains at the rear of the scene are the Cape Mabou Highlands, here clad in their beautiful green summer colours. Yet another stupendous view along an exceptionally gorgeous coast!
