Saturday Concert Pictures
The Saturday concert, emceed by Father Eugene Morris, began at 19h in the Great Hall of the Clans at the Gaelic College. I had a front-row seat for the concert and therefore was positioned to get pretty decent photos. I am not a professional photographer and am still getting used to my camera, so take the photos for what they are: my best attempt to capture what was going on at a live event. Inevitably, microphones get in the road and the angle from which I was shooting, from below the level of the stage, means that those standing in the back may be obscured by those standing in the front. Still, I’m generally pleased with the way many of the photos turned out and I hope you will enjoy them.
The Performance Listing below reflects the names I heard and wrote down at the concert, but given my lack of acute hearing, what I present here may well not be what was said. Moreover, I did not get all of the names and I apologize in advance to those whose names I have shown as question marks, mis-heard, or misspelt. Thanks to Donald MacPhee of Glengarry (Ontario) for supplying me with a number of the missing names and for correcting my misspellings.
