This is a view of the Acarsaid Trail itself as it passes through the woods south of Sams Cove, following one of the ”old roads used years ago by the locals” in the words of the West Mabou Beach Provincial Park leaflet. As you can see, the trail is in fine condition and, while there are no trail markers visible in this photo, they do appear on trees when necessary (and often when not, just to confirm that you are indeed on the trail). Junctions are well marked, usually with signage showing the trail system map.
