The surf pounds against the rocks at the base of the cliff along which the MacKinnons Brook Trail runs. While it’s not obvious from this photo, there is an almost sheer drop from the trail down more than 100 m/yd to the Gulf of St Lawrence—these are huge rocks shrunken by distance.
